Bayern Munich regrets the signing and wants to negotiate Mané

Bayern Munich shocked the football world with the announcement of Sadio Mane’s signing from Liverpool for €30 million. The Senegalese forward was a standout player for the English team and arrived at the German club with the expectation of replacing Lewandowski.

However, things didn’t go as expected for Mane and Bayern. The 31-year-old player struggled to adapt to coach Julian Nagelsmann’s playing style, who has already left the club, and had difficulties integrating with his teammates.

According to Bild newspaper, the club regrets signing Mane and intends to negotiate the forward in the next transfer window. The idea is to recoup part of the investment made and open up space in the payroll to strengthen other positions.

The fight disrupted the Bayern squad

Mane’s adaptation to Germany was already complex, but the situation worsened last week when the German press reported that the player had a fight with his teammates in the dressing room after their Champions League defeat against Manchester City.

The German press also points out that PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona are possible destinations for Mane, who still has a contract with Bayern until 2024. Any club interested in the star will need to make a heavy investment to secure his release.

Mane arrived at Liverpool in 2016 from Southampton and became one of the best players in the world under Jurgen Klopp’s leadership. He won six titles with the English club, including the Champions League and the Premier League. At Bayern, he played only 32 games and scored eleven goals.

His failure in Germany is striking, and it is likely that the new coach of the Munich club, Thomas Tuchel, will not use him anymore. Mane is expected to be sidelined until a positive proposal reaches the Bayern Munich management.
