Tipped to form an attacking duo with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr, talented Moussa Diaby has chosen a different path for his career. At 24 years old, the striker, who has been a standout for Bayer Leverkusen in recent years, has accepted an offer from Aston Villa and will play in the Premier League in the upcoming 2023/24 season.
According to Sky Sports, Aston Villa has offered a sum exceeding 50 million euros to Bayer Leverkusen for Diaby, who is expected to sign a contract until June 2028. The player arrives as the main reinforcement for the English club in this European season.
Since joining Bayer Leverkusen, he has become one of the most exciting attacking talents in the Bundesliga, scoring 49 goals and providing 48 assists in 172 games. Besides the interest from the Arab football market, Moussa Diaby had also been linked with Real Madrid, although no formal proposal was made by the Spanish club.
