Napoli receives a €120 million offer for Osimhen and makes a decision
Napoli has received two offers for Victor Osimhen, the first being €120 million and the second €140 million from Al Hilal. The Saudi Arabian club, coached by Jorge Jesus, is eager to have the Nigerian striker in their squad. The proposal shook the Italian club.
Aurelio De Laurentiis, the iconic president of Napoli, handled the negotiations with Al Hilal. Although the last offer shook the director, it was ultimately rejected. Napoli is trying to retain their top scorer for the upcoming season but is facing market pressure.
In the past hours, two proposals have been presented. Nevertheless, Al-Hilal does not intend to give up easily and may increase the offers in the coming moments. Meanwhile, Napoli fans remain hopeful that Victor Osimhen will renew his contract and stay with the club.
The proposed salary for the player is substantial
The Saudi board offered around €53 million per year to the player, along with a contract valid until 2027, in an attempt to persuade him to join Al-Hilal. This signing was a special request from Jorge Jesus, who sees Osimhen as a world-class athlete.
Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has been one of the primary targets for major teams during this transfer window. His outstanding season at Napoli has attracted interest from clubs worldwide. Despite being tempted by the offers, Osimhen is determined to stay in European football.
Currently, Osimhen is regarded as one of the leading strikers in world football, having even been the top scorer in the last Serie A season. His skills would be extremely valuable to Jorge Jesus’ team, which has already reinforced its squad with players like Rúben Neves, Malcom, and Koulibaly.
Although several proposals have emerged in recent months, none have truly surprised the Napoli board. However, last Monday, a historic proposal was made by a club, bringing them close to an agreement with the player.
