Paul Pogba may leave Juventus and sign with a football powerhouse
Juventus has had a disappointing season and is expected to see player departures, including Paul Pogba. The Italian club finished 7th in Serie A with 62 points and failed to qualify for the next edition of the Champions League. Despite recent interest from PSG, the French star is likely to have a different destination in the transfer market.
Nevertheless, the board remains vigilant in the transfer market to find new talents and improve the squad. However, the departure of some players may indeed occur. One of the players speculated to leave Turin is midfielder Pogba, whose potential exit from Juventus is gaining momentum.
At the age of 30, Paul Pogba emerged from small French clubs before making his professional debut with Manchester United, where he had two stints. As a member of the French national team, he won the World Cup in 2018 and was also awarded the Best Young Player of the 2014 World Cup.
Pogba may find his destination in Arab football
Although PSG in France is considered a frontrunner to secure his signing, another top club may enter the negotiations. According to reports from “Fichajes.Net,” Al-Ittihad, from Saudi Arabia, has expressed interest in signing the Frenchman.
The Saudi team has been strengthening its squad and recently secured the signings of Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté, Pogba’s teammates in the national team. The Arab board has proposed a salary of approximately 100 million euros over three seasons, but their initial offer was declined.
After rejecting the initial proposal, which offered a salary in the range of 100 million euros for a three-year contract, Pogba is said to have received a new offer of around 150 million euros. According to “L’Équipe,” the player is interested in remaining in Italy, aiming for his inclusion in the squad for next year’s European Championship.
Likewise, Juventus may consider negotiating the player since they would receive financial compensation. Pogba recently visited Jeddah, where he reportedly toured the facilities of Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad, the new teams of his compatriots Benzema and Kanté.
