PSG sets price to sell Kyllian Mbappé to the Premier League

A few weeks ago, French star Kylian Mbappé confirmed that he has no intention of renewing his contract with PSG for another season. As a result, his contract would expire in the middle of next year, allowing him to leave the club for free.

However, potential suitors are starting to emerge, and Liverpool is reportedly preparing an astronomical offer for the player. This information comes from Spanish radio “Marca,” which hosted FIFA-licensed agent Marco Kirdemir to discuss the matter.

According to Kirdemir, Liverpool is preparing a £300 million (€353 million) proposal to secure the player’s services this season, which would be the largest transfer in history. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is now trying to handle the situation with Mbappé’s mother and agent, Fayza Lamari.

The star forward has informed the club that he will not extend his contract for an additional year, and his current deal will expire in June 2024. As reported by the French outlet, Al-Khelaifi and the player’s mother had a meeting last week.

Mbappé is expected to be sold

It’s worth noting that in mid-2022, Mbappé decided to stay at PSG and renewed his contract for two more seasons, with an option to extend it for one more if he desired. However, the player has already informed the club, even publicly, that he does not intend to extend his current contract and could sign with any club starting from January.

PSG does not entertain the scenario of Mbappé leaving without generating any revenue for the club in a transfer. However, the German newspaper ‘Sport Bild’ recently reported that Real Madrid would not pay more than €120 million for Mbappé in this transfer window.

After this statement, Real Madrid was naturally seen as the favorite to sign the French national team’s number 10, but speculations have decreased in recent weeks. Thus, the path seems clear for Liverpool, although the player has made it clear that he dreams of wearing the Merengue shirt during his career.
