Tottenham make decision on Bayern Munich offer for Harry Kane

Bayern Munich attempts to sign striker Harry Kane and has submitted an initial official offer to Tottenham, which has already been responded to. The information comes from “The Athletic” newspaper and transfer specialist journalist Fabrizio Romano, who are following the negotiations for the player.

The publication initially reported that after receiving a positive signal from Kane, Bayern Munich decided to present an offer of 70 million euros, plus bonuses. However, the amount was not considered sufficient by Tottenham, who are seeking better terms.

In recent days, the sports media has claimed that Kane, who turns 30 next month, has chosen the Bavarian team as his preferred option if he moves outside of England. Consequently, he signaled positively when Bayern expressed interest to his representatives, as playing in the Bundesliga is attractive to the striker.

Tottenham makes Kane’s departure difficult

Kane has a contract with Tottenham until 2024. The English club has indicated that they will not accept offers below £100 million for him. Bayern Munich is not willing to pay that amount, but according to “Sky,” the German club believes they can reach an agreement for less.

The Spurs’ number 10 has also been a target for Real Madrid. However, according to the Spanish press, Carlo Ancelotti’s team has reduced their pursuit of the Englishman. The main competitors for Bayern are believed to be Manchester United and PSG.

The German giants are looking to sign a center-forward. The first two options were considered too expensive by Bayern Munich. Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt and Osimhen, the top scorer of Napoli, are unlikely to leave their clubs for less than 100 million euros. Bayern has never spent and does not intend to spend such an amount on a single player.

If they fail to secure Kane, Muani, or Osimhen, the Munich team is considering a final domestic alternative: Niclas Füllkrug, the top scorer of Werder Bremen, who represented Germany in the 2022 World Cup. At 30 years old, he would come at a much lower cost for Bayern, but he is not seen as having the same potential as Kane, the top scorer for Tottenham and also for the England national team.
