Tottenham signals it will accept United’s offer for Harry Kane
The European football transfer market promises to be lively next season, and Harry Kane is one of the hottest names. According to the British newspaper The Telegraph, Manchester United is willing to make an offer of €100 million to sign the Tottenham striker.
The 28-year-old player is one of the Premier League’s top scorers, with 24 goals in 32 games, and is also the captain of the English national team. He has a contract with Spurs until 2024 but has already expressed his desire to win titles in his career, something that has proved difficult at his current club.
Manchester United, in turn, is looking to strengthen its offensive sector to compete in the main continental competitions again. The club currently occupies fourth place in the English league and is fighting for a spot in next season’s Champions League.
However, the negotiation won’t be easy
Tottenham has no intention of selling its top player, especially to a direct rival in England. The president of the London club, Daniel Levy, is known for being a tough and demanding negotiator.
Furthermore, other teams are also interested in Kane, such as Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. His possible departure from Spurs will be the main topic of the European market over the next few months and will involve large financial amounts.
Harry Kane is considered one of the best strikers today. He came through the ranks at Tottenham and made his first-team debut in 2011. Since then, he has scored 274 goals in 429 matches for Spurs, being the Premier League’s top scorer four times and the Champions League’s top scorer twice.
Kane is also the sixth-highest scorer in the history of the English national team, with 82 goals in 55 games. He was the runner-up in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, being the tournament’s top scorer with six goals. He would undoubtedly be a great addition to any high-level club.
